  • Addressing Faulty Uploads and Enhancing Performance.

    October 23th, 2023

    Dear Customers,

The wait is over. Our long-anticipated storage servers, which we have awaited for over a month, have now been delivered.

Issues with faulty uploads will soon be a thing of the past.

While we had hoped that the adjustments to our storage policy this year would resolve the issues, this was not the outcome.

As a result, we took swift measures to address the problems.

Furthermore, several of our older servers have sustained significant hardware wear and tear over the years.

Over the past 30 days, this has led to:

    - Incomplete file uploads for users.
    - Slow to poor download speeds due to deteriorating hardware.

If you continue to face any of these issues in the upcoming weeks, please reach out to our support team directly.

  • Important Update: Changes to Our Storage Policy

    August 05th, 2023

For several months, we have been dealing with the misuse of our storage servers by third-party providers. These entities have been utilizing our offerings as cold storage, a practice we must now limit due to the undue strain it places on our systems. This excessive, unnecessary load primarily impacts our affiliate users who are actively seeking to generate revenue, resulting in 'broken files' that aren't completely uploaded.

The need to conserve storage space for our active affiliate users has arisen due to the massive file uploads and retention, with no significant affiliate revenue generation.

Consequently, starting today, we will no longer offer unlimited storage space. Registered users will now have access to 5TB of storage space, instead of unlimited, with the same expiration time. Premium customers will have 100TB of storage, maintaining the same expiration time as before.

Active affiliate users will still enjoy unlimited storage with No File Expire.

We reserve the right to determine who qualifies as an active affiliate user.

If you're interested or affected by these changes, please feel free to contact us.

  • Important Announcement: PPD Affiliate Compensation

    March 21th, 2023

    Dear DDownload Affiliate Users,

Due to economic circumstances, we regret to inform you that at the end of this month, on 03.31.2023, we will significantly reduce the Pay-Per-Download compensation. The compensation table will be adjusted to match our competitors'. It is also possible that we may remove the PPD entirely in the future. We do not believe that it makes sense to continue offering this method in this day and age.

We have noticed that this business model is no longer profitable. Server costs have doubled in the last six months, and we are having difficulty with payment models for our customers. It is in our best interest to make this decision to prevent putting our business at risk.

It has never been our intention to profit at the expense of our affiliate customers. We have communicated this as transparently as possible.

We understand that some may not agree with this decision and may choose to leave, which we will also accept. However, we cannot provide a good service if we continue in this manner.

We still do not wish to have unnecessary advertising on our website to compensate for pay-per-download business models. With ad-blocker functionality prevalent in this day and age, it makes no sense to continue offering this service.

Unfortunately, this decision has caused sadness for our team, as this website has triggered something bigger in us than we could have imagined three years ago. Especially when working as a team for something in which you invest more heart than mind.

We recommend that our affiliate partners switch to the pay-per-sale compensation model soon. We will be releasing some optimizations shortly.

Thank you for your years of loyalty as an affiliate partner through our pay-per-download model.

  • Display error in the system for payouts on 09/05/22

    September 06th, 2022

    Dear Affiliate Users,

Yesterday we had a display error for the bitcoin wallets during payouts. We sent 70% of the payouts to outdated non-usable wallets which were also mostly from 2019 and were non-existent for many users. For proof you can request us and we will send the transaction number.

We would like to point out that only Bitcoin wallets are affected and not others.

To prevent this in the future, we will always compare the wallets from now on.

Currently, we have fixed the problem.

Unfortunately, we have to pay for this damage. For this reason, we pay out the unpaid "PAID" payouts piece by piece. We ask you to create a support ticket for not received payments so that we can set them to "In Progress" and then set them to "Closed" when they are paid out.

We thank you for your loyalty and hope for improvements soon.

  • Changes to Pay-Per-Download remuneration

    February 18th, 2021

    Dear user,

Due to the high abuse of our Free Pay-Per-Download we are unfortunately forced to switch to Premium Pay-Per-Download which will come into effect from Friday 02.19.2021.

Meaning only premium user downloads will be remunerated. No more Free Downloads. We have a very high bot volume which many affiliate users abuse to generate money. We are forced to take this measure to cover the costs as good as possible.

Therefore we will change the Pay-Per-Sale logic next week so that from now on all VPN sales will be paid correctly without being marked as fraud. So the chance to earn with Pay-Per-Sale is much higher than usual.

    Thank you for your understanding.

  • Minimum payout increased to 50 EUR

    February 17th, 2021

The minimum payout of 10 EUR has been increased to 50 EUR due to the high Bitcoin fees. Since we have 90% Bitcoin partners, we are forced to take this measure temporarily.

We are working with larger networks to make the payouts. For each transaction 3 - 5 EUR fees are charged by our payout company and due on it are also Bitcoin fees which we have taken over very often ourselves.

Currently, the fees are so high that we are forced to take these measures to not cause any high costs.

  • Speed problems in December 2020

    December 10th, 2020

    Dear users,

The Corona situation has been relatively hard on us this year. Already in March, April this year we had massive disruptions on our network and now again in December 2020, where all the lockdown measures were imposed in some countries.

We have currently throttled the download per file to a limited speed to keep the whole network on the cluster as stable as possible.

Currently, some servers are still at the limit with the speed, simply because thousands of users are active.

We hope for your understanding and hope to still keep you as a customer. All those who want a refund regarding these problems should open a support ticket to get a refund.

    September 24th, 2020

    Dear users,

We will perform maintenance on Monday 09.28.2020 at Amsterdam time UTC+2 tomorrow morning. Due to this maintenance work it can happen that the website is limited or not accessible for some hours.

After the maintenance work the website will continue to operate as usual.

  • Maintenance work on the GLNL/2 network

    September 15th, 2020

We have scheduled urgent maintenance work for 09.15.2020. There may be some restrictions to the service.

Affected services are in the UCDN network from GLNL/2 on www500 to www550. The services may have speed restrictions.

  • The change to the Euro Currency

    July 16th, 2020

    Dear users of DDownload,

After economic reasons and two months of testing and discussions in the whole Unlimited Network Limited Team, we have decided that we will adjust the prices from US Dollar to Euro.

Why did we come to this decision?
We made this decision due to numerous inquiries and uncertainties about payment options, payouts, and economic and infrastructure reasons.

Our infrastructure, in some cases even today almost 40%, has a connection to networks that are better connected to Asia. For this reason, there are still users from Europe, especially Germany that the connections are not 100% guaranteed as some people imagine. Our service has been in existence for more than four years and our service was created and expanded in the Asia region. Last year in the first quarter we had a user number of 70% Asia. The investment has been focused on Asia and our core business was only the user base.

Then at the end of 2019 we had a boom from Europe which turned things upside down. The number of users increased by almost 70% and we had to upgrade the infrastructure. month by month.

Nevertheless, DDownload's infrastructure is not yet 100% complete. To be able to realize this on the right way, we had to change our currency from Dollar to Euro. Due to the minimal price difference between Euro and Dollar, there is a small inflation.

With this decision we are able to expand our infrastructure and offer you a service that will satisfy you for the next years.

    What about the payouts?
You will still receive your payouts in crypto-currencies. Through this change you will also earn more than before. Also the current payout amounts give you a small bounce because of the currency conversion.

If you experience any server problems or speed fluctuations, please visit our support center before tickets are written. support.ddownload.com

On our support center technical problems are mostly communicated.

  • Maintenance work on the GLNL network

    June 27th, 2020

We have urgent maintenance work on the GLNL network. In calendar week 27 and 28 you may experience speed restrictions. We ask all German users to be patient during this time and not to use the service during rush hours. If you have massive restrictions, please contact us.

This maintenance work is necessary to improve all services during upload and download. We currently have some reports due to upload problems that are affecting this network.

Our GLNL network has no direct contracts with Deutsche Telekom or other networks. Therefore, speed restrictions may occur. Networks from other countries are not affected.

  • Upcoming maintenance work on our GLNL network

    June 18th, 2020

We have important maintenance work on our Storage Server this Thursday the 06.18.2020 at local time Amsterdam, Holland.

Hardware is exchanged and extended to achieve better performance. We expect a disturbance of about one hour maximum. You will receive a message when these disturbances occur.

We expect offline times of about 1 - 2 hours through the afternoon on some of our services.

  • The COVID-19 situation

    March 20th, 2020

As you can see on our external support department, it is not possible to open or answer tickets at the moment. The reason is that Lithuania has declared a state of emergency. Home office is not possible for us because all employees we had in the support department are guest workers in Lithuania.

Because our support employees were called back to their home country because they are only temporarily employed by us, they had to leave the country within one week.

Due to our infrastructure in the offices, we cannot provide external support at the moment. In urgent cases we can also be reached via Imprint on our internal contact form.

We thank you for your understanding

  • CDN102 and 112 dropouts

    March 15th, 2020

Currently www102 and www112 have connection problems on our network. We are working on a solution as soon as possible. Thanks for your understanding.

  • Connectivity/Speed Issues

    March 08th, 2020

Currently we have technical problems with our new network. Since only 50% of our new hardware has been delivered, more than a month has passed until the other hardware will arrive. Currently we have unlocked the old network which causes problems for German users. This is only a temporary solution until the new hardware arrives.

We will keep you informed until the new network is released this week with extended hardware.

We have received massive support requests and noticed that more than 80% of the requests are not necessary. Because our support system has been cluttered, we have currently put the system into maintenance mode until all tickets have been processed.

Thank you for your loyalty and we apologize for the inconvenience.

  • Service Provider Changes

    January 22th, 2020

Your wishes are important to us, so we have decided to change our service provider shortly. In order to make the change without problems, we will start to install the first servers in the following weeks, which will allow you better download times.

Why do I have bad download times?
This does not affect all users, only 1/4 of our premium users have problems with the download speed. The reason is that in certain countries or zones the peering networks are not connected to different carriers. A good example is Deutsche Telekom which charges horrendous prices for its peering network. Sometimes 8 times as much as the other providers. Our provider does not want to pay these prices because it is simply not profitable.

That's why we have found a new provider who will solve this problem shortly. We apologize for the inconvenience.

  • CDN59 dropouts and slow loading times

    January 20th, 2020

The server cdn59 is currently experiencing dropouts and technical problems which are delaying download times or reducing them to 20 kilobytes up to 50 kilobytes download speed.

We are working hard on a solution to the problem. We apologize for the inconvenience.

  • Help testing bandwidth needed

    January 14th, 2020

We kindly ask You to assist us with some tests of our new server. Please let us know in the comments which download speeds You get, from which location and what is Your network connections bandwidth.

    Conslusions from the test?

Most of the speed are satisfactory but there are times (1-3h during week days and some more during weekends) when the performance of our ISP drops quite significantly. We will be monitoring the sittuation and if the problems won’t be resolved in the near future we will be on the lookout for another provider.

  • Possible temporary availability interruptions

    December 15th, 2019

Maintenance work on our databases is planned for this week. In week 51 we will put the site under maintenance mode for a few hours to avoid data loss. We thank you for your understanding.

For week 51, we plan to increase the available network throughput per every rack to make the download speeds even more bulletproof during the peak hours – this time it will be possible to do so without any downtime. Let speed be with you!

  • Paysafecard and Paypal

    November 20th, 2019

We got a lot of mails again and again because of payment methods. We have taken your mails in favor of introducing this as well.

Credit card was introduced as a direct payment method this week. Now Paysafecard and Paypal as direct payment methods will follow soon. We can't say the fees yet, but we guarantee that there will be no more resellers for Paysafecard and Paypal. Our official resellers will still be there.

We will keep you up to date and thank you for your patience.
